This is my go-to spot in Mondawmin Mall whenever I’m hungry and need something quick, cheap, and filling. I’ve ordered from China Yum at least 8–10 times now (mostly online pickup or delivery), and it never disappoints. The portions are HUGE — one combo plate (General Tso’s or sesame chicken with fried rice and an egg roll) easily feeds me for two meals, and it’s only $9–$12. Chicken is always crispy, sauce is flavorful (nice sweet heat), rice is fresh, and veggies are cooked just right. Online ordering is smooth, food is ready fast even during lunch rush, and the staff is friendly and gets the order right every time. Delivery through DoorDash/Uber Eats comes hot and accurate too. For mall food court Chinese, this place is consistently the best option in the area — way better than average. If you’re shopping at Target or just passing through, stop here. You won’t be mad. Highly recommend!

The food was great but the dasher did not understand my detailed instructions. I'm definitely going to order from here. My #1 ordering Asian go to spot.

I ordered delivery from here twice now. The food was really good and flavorful, not overly seasoned. Their shrimp rolls are really big. So, for anyone who thinks the pricing is high, wait until you see that one is enough. My second order was the bed and broccoli, which was enough for two servings. I would order from here again and recommend them.

When young people say it’s good, then it’s got to be good. The Cheesesteak Egg-rolls at China Yum, located on the second level of Mondawmin Mall were delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was welcoming. There was a large selection of menu items to choose from. I’ll be back. I rate this establishment 5.

China Yum's bourbon chicken, with white rice is the best. I've tried it elsewhere, but nothing compares! My husband loves the orange chicken with white rice. We are definitely hooked.

Nothing TOO Salty or Greasy. Nice Flavor. Yat Ga Mein. Shrimp Fried Rice. Beef & Broc. Egg Foo Yung! Tasty Whole Fried Chicken Wings & Fish. Etc! Combination Plates. They give you enough shrimp, meat, everything! BIG Jumbo size Eggrolls. Reasonable Prices with Specials DAILY. Clean & No Super Long Wait. Always a nice Variety of Fresh, Hot Good Food Cooked Right, & Made With Luv & Care, to Choose from. All types of beverages from bottled juices, sodas, half n' halfs + other house made drinks. Always a Steady Stream of Loyal Customers. Not uncommon to see staff & custies briefly chit-chatting, " Hey How r u?" You can sit in and eat, order for delivery, or carry/takeout. I have begun to come here often. I had a slight misunderstanding on price (which, the price is very reasonable). I thought I spent $13+ for the all day special and two egg rolls. It was actually 1 egg roll, which was enough. The egg rolls are the biggest I have had lately. I did not cause a seen but feel bad fir even holding things up by asking. They work hard, possibly 7 days a week. I am posting this because I won't be able to visit until the end of the coming week. Thank you for great service and great food! I will be back.
